The most talked about movie in Tamil cinema’s release last year was “Super Deluxe”. Gayathrie shankar was the wife of ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi, who played “transgender” in that film. During this curfew, actress Gayatri posted a post on her Instagram explicitly about her first cinema trip. “This photo is one I took for a photoshoot before I came to the cinema. This time I was afraid of exposing my thin body. By then I was in a state of panic. That’s when I got the help of my friends. That’s when I started to understand. It is very important for us to be friends first. I feel that moment again in this curfew. Thank you my friends. ”
#throwback? to a time when I looked like this and didn’t feel confident enough to post this picture!
A lot of people look at me like I’m crazy when I tell them I’m insecure about my body. Insecurity has nothing to do with how you look. It’s more a state of mind. Mental health is probably the most overlooked problems of our times. If you’re reading this, if you look in the mirror and only see things that are wrong with you. You’re not alone. It happens to the best of us. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Every scar, mole, stretchmark is a milestone in the story of your journey, and every story is unique. It’s what makes you, YOU. Make peace with it. Accept it. Love it. Trust me, a little self love everyday, goes a long way! ?
Thank you @suresh.menon and @vinothdk for being catalysts in my journey of self love and pushing me out of my comfort zone.
