Update – Sujith passed away inside the borewell, body recovered and sent for postmortem
Here is an update of Sujith’s rescue operations as of Monday 28th October, 2019 at 4:45 PM. It’s now almost three days since the kid is stuck in borewell, rescue operations is in full swing and the normal borewell machine was used to dig those extra 45 ft by drilling holes as the rocks were really hard. This process is now completed and four holes are dug inside that 45ft parallel pit.
Now the bigger power L&T rig is put into action to remove debris from the hole and to make it bigger for the rescue team to get inside and dig the side hole. This will take few more hours as the bigger rig machine will make the hole bigger by removing those hard rocks which are drilled down by that machine.
Also plans are being made to remove the mud from top of Surjith using air filters / air suckers machine so that they can get a clear view of the child. Work is happening in full speed and MP from Tamil Nadu Raveendranath (son of deputy CM OPS) has assured that the child will be rescued by today.
Is the child breathing and how is his health status? None of the officials are ready to answer that question as they’re not sure of the child’s well being. We will update on that as soon as we get any news. PM of India Shri Narendra Modi has enquired about the kid’s status to CM of Tamil Nadu and is praying for kid’s safety. Comment and share your prayers in the comment section and stay tuned on updates of the rescue operations.
My prayers are with the young and brave Sujith Wilson. Spoke to CM @EPSTamilNadu regarding the rescue efforts underway to save Sujith. Every effort is being made to ensure that he is safe. @CMOTamilNadu
