Tamil actor Thavasi has been suffering from esophageal cancer for several years. In a video, he had appealed to actors, actresses and directors for monetary help. Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi had contributed Rs 25,000 and Rs 1 lakh respectively to Thavasi.
Now, Simbu has stepped in to help Thavasi and his family members. On his part, Simbu has contributed Rs 1 lakh to take care of his medical expenses.
Apart from these stars, Soori, Soundar Raja and few other stars have also lent their financial aid to Thavasi. As reported earlier, Thavasi is suffering from Stage 4 esophageal cancer and has lost oodles of weight.
Thavasi has featured in important roles in Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam, Rajini Murugan and other films too. In a video, he also revealed that he has featured in a role in Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe, which is currently in production.
