A Restaurant Group is noting new there are several restaurant groups like Darden Restaurants, Bloomin’ Brands, etc. But Salted Restaurant is slightly different from these. Salted has delivery-only brands. There are no dining rooms, no tables to sit and eat a meal. All Salted brands are prepared in Ghost Kitchens. They are delivered by services like DoorDash, Grubhub, or UberEats.

A Ghost Kitchen is also known as Shadow, Dark, or Cloud Kitchen is a facility set up exclusively for the professional preparation of restaurant meals. On doing a cost-benefit analysis it seems to be a more viable option when compared to a brick and mortar building particularly for new chefs who are just starting. It is considered as the ‘golden age of delivery’ in America with delivery-only growing at a rate of 300% faster than dine-ins in the past five years. In 2018, Consumers spent as much as $10 billion on food delivered to their homes.
