The Story behind Potty Safe Child Proof Potty Training Toilet!
Colt and Daisy Hall were potty training their first daughter who was an independent child going through I– Can–Do–It–Myself phase. Thus, always wanting to help with emptying the bowl. As a result of this, they had to face many unpleasant experiences.
This led to their search for finding a childproof potty chair, but none was available. Colt then created a device that would lock the bowl to the chair. An adult can remove the lock but not a child. This pretty much solved their problem and potty training continued without a hitch. Having come across similar queries from the parents during their search, they decided to bring it out.

Hi there! With all of our new followers lately, we wanted to introduce ourselves again because it's been a while! ? We are the Hall Family-the inventors and owners behind Potty Safe! No, we are not a large corporation, but a husband and wife team that handles all day to day operations on their own. To say the least, life is hectic most days as any normal parent would tell you. That is exactly how we came up with Potty Safe while potty training our daughter. Life was hectic, and throwing potty training into the mix only made it more stressful. Our daughter LOVED to take out the wastebowl to show off her accomplishments and help dump the potty. While we loved the fact she wanted to be a big helper, we usually ended up cleaning up her accomplishments off of the floor and giving her an extra bath. Who has time to mop a floor once, let alone again and again? I know I didn't and something had to change! When we couldn't find a "child proof" potty chair, we invented our own, and that is how Potty Safe was born! Life is hectic and this journey is a literal roller coaster of emotions….BUT! I wouldn't trade it! We are showing our kids to go after their dreams! Life is too short to live it with regrets! NEVER sit back and wonder "WHAT IF"……Entrepreneur life isn't easy, but it's worth the work! #pottysafe #pottytraining #mompreneur #momboss #smallbusiness #startup #noregrets #goforyourdreams
The development of Potty Safe Child Proof Potty Training Toilet!
Daisy is an accounting graduate but after giving birth her corporate job was getting too much in the way of her family. So, she quit and took up a less demanding job as an office manager near her home. When the opportunity presented itself to support their new invention, she dove right in.
In an interview given to Pat Walls of ‘Starter Story,’ she reveals their first step was to protect their invention. They hired an attorney to file for a patent. In June 2017 they attended an inventor show with their prototype gaining a lot of attention. They also made some important connections here and one of them turned out to be their manufacturer in the future.
After finding the cost of tooling they were discouraged and almost ready to give up. But after a lot of discussions and not wanting to think ‘what if?’ in the future. The Halls decided to mortgage their house to finance the endeavor.
Stacy’s advice to the new entrepreneurs is to get out of their comfort zone and ask a lot of questions. She also advises not to take criticism seriously and use it as an opportunity to learn and grow.
