Recto Arogaraj and Kalairani are from Nadukattupatti village near Manaparai in Trichy district. Their 2 year old son is Sujith Vinsen. He was playing around the house as usual at 5pm yesterday. Sujith Vinsen unexpectedly failed to dig an abandoned 30-foot deep hole there. Upon hearing the sound of the baby, the baby was found to be about 20 feet deep. The family was shocked. They informed the fire brigade team of Manaparai. Four bogline machines were dug near the deep well. But the drilling work was halted due to the vibration of the groove and the soil fell on the child. Subsequently, Manikandan from Madurai and Namakkal Daniel came to Manapparai to find the baby. At first it was decided to tie one hand and pull the child up and then the other hand.
At about 4am, the rescue team made a serious effort. But the baby had too much root trouble and had a lot of trouble getting into the hand. At 2 o’clock in the morning, the baby slipped due to excess water loaded into the body and went into the abyss for another 20 feet. Surjit, a baby who fell 15 feet deep, is now in a 70-foot abyss. Can the hole be drilled and recovered? The National Disaster Rescue Squadron is currently in Mannar. Rescue crews continue to fight for the baby. The villagers are very angry.
We TheNewsCrunch prays for safe rescue of Sujith Vinsen. We will update on this as and when some more developments take place.
