The show has come with original contestants this time, unlike the previous season which had participants from Colors TV. Host Mohanlal kicked off the first episode with a fire warning, setting the tone for the season.
Who is Reneesha Rahman
The first contestant to enter the Bigg Boss house this season is Reneesha Rahman, a native of Alathur, Palakkad. Reneesha gained popularity among family audiences with her role in the popular Asianet serial ‘Sita Kalyanam’. Interestingly, two other stars from the same show, Dhanya Mary Varghese and Anup Krishnan, are also participating in the new season of Bigg Boss.
In her introduction, Reneesha talked about her family and how much she will miss them during her stay in the Bigg Boss house. She also spoke about her dream of looking after a differently-abled person named Maman. Reneesha promised to be her original self and not a copycat, as per the motto of the show.
Mohanlal spoke to Reneesha in Tamil, but she assured him that she knows Malayalam well and won’t have any problems following the rule of speaking only in Malayalam in the Bigg Boss house. She also mentioned that nothing is premeditated for the show and she will go with the flow.
The excitement for this season of Bigg Boss Malayalam is already high as Reneesha is joined by Rinosh George, Serena, Anchus Roshan, Viber Good Dev, Vishnu Joshi, Angeline Maria, Manisha, Sagar Surya, Shiju, Anian Mithun, Shobha Vishwanath, Junais VP, Lechu Gram, Akhil Marar, Nadira Mehrin, and Shruti Lakshmi in the house.
