Jersey is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language sports drama film that is a remake of the national award-winning Telugu film Jersey. The film is written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
OTT Platforms and Release Date
The OTT rights of the film Jersey have not been signed by any platform yet. The release date on OTT platforms has also not been decided or officially announced by the producers yet. However, Jersey is expected to be released on Netflix. The film will be released at least four weeks after the theatrical release. So, it can be predicted that Jersey will be released on Netflix on 20th May.
However, because of the film’s low financial performance on its first day of theatrical release, it may be available via OTT platforms sooner. If the movie continues to underperform in theatres, Netflix might release it earlier than the four-week theatrical window. In that case, Jersey will be set to premiere on Netflix on May 13th.
Jersey was released in theatres on April 22, 2022, after being delayed three times due to the pandemic. The film was supposed to be released in theatres on August 28, 2020, however due to the pandemic, it was pushed back to November 5, 2021. However, it was postponed once more, this time to December 31, 2022, due to the spread of the Omicron variant. The release date was then altered to 14 April 2022, but it was pushed back a week to avoid a clash with Beast and K.G.F: Chapter 2.
