Vijayadashami or Dussehra is on 5th October 2022 Tuesday and it’s an important festival in Tamil Nadu and across India. This day is also called “Durgotsav”, which means “Festival of Durga”. This day is celebrated throughout India for worshipping their profession. Offices are closed traditionally on this day. It is a part of Navratri festival which is traditionally celebrated in India. Vijayadashami celebrates the victory of good over evil and marks the end of the nine day Navaratri festivities.
This day is also symbolic of the end of Mahishasur, the king of demons whon was killed by Goddess Durga on this day.
