CoronaVirus is ripping apart the economy and normal livelihood of millions across the globe. Hugely populous India is beginning to face the brunt of Level 2 and 3 transmission of the virus in the country. There has been a significant surge in the total count which mounts to 979, including 25 deaths. The major regions affected are Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi NCR Region and Rajasthan.
CoronaVirus Chennai News: Corporation Launches intensive containment drive
The city corporation of Chennai has started an intensive containment drive in and around areas where corona positive cases have been identified. Currently, Tamil Nadu has 42 positive cases counted so far. However, this includes 1 death and 2 recovered patients. Most of the cases have been reported in the state capital of Chennai.
Earlier today, the Corporation of Chennai launched an intensive campaign to curb the spread of infection in a five kilometer radius of an infected patient.
Hence, the following areas are identified as locations with potential spread capability. However, the official word on the list of areas will be released at a press meet tomorrow.
The list of areas were notified verbally to reports at a press conference today.
