Live Updates – Arun Jaitley’s Death At 66
It is a sad day for BJP and Indian citizens as BJP Veteran leader and Former Finance Finance Minister under the NDA-I government, Arun Jaitley passed away today at AIIMS Hospital, New Delhi.
Arun Jaitley, was rushed to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on August 9 after he complained of breathlessness and restlessness.
On August 19, BJP veteran L.K. Advani, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, U.P. Governor Anandiben Patel, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Delhi Lt. Governor Anil Baijal and BJP MP Maneka Gandhi visited the hospital to know about Mr. Jaitley’s health.
In May 2019, Mr. Jaitley was admitted to AIIMS for treatment. He had undergone a renal transplant on May 14, 2018 at AIIMS with Railways Minister Piyush Goyal filling in for him in the Finance Ministry at that time.In September 2014, he underwent bariatric surgery to correct the weight he had gained because of a long-standing diabetic condition.
Mr. Jaitley did not contest in the recently concluded Lok Sabha Elections due to his health issues.
Bad news for BJP as it loses two great leaders in Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley who were critical Cabinet contributors in the first government under PM Narendra Modi between 2014-2019.
Indeed, the Arun Jaitley death news is true as there were a lot of speculations about his ill health for a lot of time now.
