Baby Rakshana, who played a child artist in the movie “Siruthai,” has now grown up and become a leading actress in the Tamil film industry. In a recent interview, she opened up about her experiences working with renowned directors like Siva and Mani Ratnam, and actors like Dulquer and Karthik.
She made her debut as a child artist in the 2011 movie “Siruthai,” directed by Siva, and played the role of Divya as a child star. Her photo on social media surprised many people as she has now progressed to become a leading actress in the industry. After “Siruthai,” she acted in several other movies such as “OK Kanmani,” “Pandiya Nadu,” “Kaad,” “Trisha Illana Nayanthara,” and “Nimirndu Nil.”
In the interview, Baby Rakshana revealed that she has been acting since she was three and a half years old. She took a break from acting to learn Bharatanatyam, but continued to act in commercials during that time. She is currently in class 11 and will be going to class 12 soon.
She also spoke about how she got the opportunity to act in “Siruthai.” She had acted in an advertisement before the movie, and director Siva had auditioned her for the role. She was only three and a half years old at that time. She also recalled how actor Karthi had come to her house with gifts on her birthday and had agreed to do the same scene multiple times during the shooting.
She further shared her experiences of working in other movies like Mani Ratnam’s “Kadal,” where she played the role of a young heroine, and “OK Kanmani,” where she learned a lot from Dulquer Salmaan despite having few scenes with him. She also acted in the Sri Lankan Tamil film “Yahan,” which was a different experience for her as compared to her other movies. She stated that she is currently focused on her studies, but if she gets good opportunities in good movies after completing her studies, she will definitely act.
